Giants pitcher Sean Hjelle

Towering right-hander Sean Hjelle could very well be called up at some point in 2020 and he may even find himself in the rotation by season’s end.

From a sheer intimidation standpoint, his imposing 6’11” frame makes him one of the organization’s most intriguing prospects.

While he doesn’t have elite velocity, his extreme downhill plane and polished repertoire gives him a chance to be a long-term piece in the rotation.

The prospect of a Hjelle-Bart battery at some point is one of the things I’m most excited for in 2020. I’ll pump the brakes on the Madison Bumgarner-Buster Posey comparisons, but who knows, those two could be big part of the next decade.
