Signing Nick Vincent

If the name Nick Vincent sounds familiar, it is because he was a member of the Giants in the early part of 2019, before being designated for assignment in early August.

He pitched well early in the year before hitting a rough patch and then landing on the disabled list. He ended up with the Phillies after he was released by the Giants, where he rebounded nicely with a 1.93 ERA, 1.07 WHIP and 10.9 K/9 in 14 appearances.

That’s promising in that it shows he was able to regain his form after a tough stint in San Francisco.

He adds much-needed depth to a weak bullpen and comes extremely cheap after signing a minor league deal.
