Can Gabe Kapler win over the fan base?

Based on early impressions from the fan base, it looks like new manager Gabe Kapler will have a tough time winning over the Giants fanbase.

He is replacing a future Hall of Fame manager who delivered the first three championships in San Francisco Giants history. He is also taking over a team that does not seem like it will be a contender for at least a few seasons.

This is not a good recipe for quickly winning over a fanbase that is already skeptical of the new skipper. We’ll get to see him in action for the first time this spring, and while he obviously won’t win over any fans by winning games that don’t count, perhaps he can lay the groundwork for the positive clubhouse that he talks so much about.

Next. Is Mauricio Dubon the answer in CF?

Those are the five most interesting storylines coming into spring training. Now it’s time to sit back and see how the roster battles shake out and if there are any surprises in store for this team. Get ready folks, baseball is almost back, for better or for worse.
