5 biggest Giants spring training storylines to watch

Keep an eye on the prospects
While neither is likely to make the Opening Day roster out of spring, Joey Bart and Sean Hjelle could very well be the future of the Giants organization.
Both have shown promise in the lower levels of the minors, and both will be given plenty of opportunities to show off their talents this spring.
At 22 and 23 years old, respectively, Hjelle and Bart could represent a battery that we will see a lot of during the 2020s. It’s obviously far too early to compare them to Madison Bumgarner and Buster Posey, but it goes without saying that if they enjoyed even a fraction of the success that those two had together then the Giants organization would benefit greatly.
Fans should be careful not o throw too much weight on their shoulders, but with little to look forward to in terms of young talent on the cusp of the big leagues, it is only natural to be hopeful for the futures of Bart and Hjelle.
