RHP Tyler Rogers
The 2019 season was a very impressive one for Tyler Rogers.
After four seasons at the Triple-A level, he finally made his MLB debut on Aug. 27. In 17.2 innings, he had a 1.02 ERA and 0.85 WHIP with 16 strikeouts and only three walks.
That was a small sample size, but one can’t help but get excited over solid numbers like those.
Baseball Reference has him projected to come back down to earth a bit in 2020 with a 3.97 ERA in 34 innings.
Perhaps his submarine delivery will continue to fool hitters and he will become one of the premier relievers for the team. He should be given the chance in 2020 to prove that 2019 was far from a fluke.
