Dallas Keuchel

Reiter wrote: “Clubs don’t like his strikeout rate, although the Giants, with their solid defense and big ballpark—and possibly without Madison Bumgarner—could be tempted.”

The San Francisco Giants will need to do something to replace Bumgarner if he does, in fact, decide to walk, and they could do a lot worse than the former AL Cy Young winner.

Keuchel slots better as a No. 3 starter on a good team than he does at the top of a starting rotation, but his reliance on command and groundball rate over elite stuff means he should age better than a lot of his hard-throwing counterparts.

If the price is right, there could be a fit here.

Verdict: Agree
