30. RHP Raffi Vizcaino

Age: 23
Acquired: IFA (2013)
Future Value: 35+
Stock: -1 spot

Raffi Vizcaino stalled out last season as a starter but his conversion to the bullpen has gone spectacularly.

He dominated at High-A San Jose to start the season and quickly earned a call-up to Double-A. He got off to a very good start with the Richmond Flying Squirrels but slowed as the season wore on. In the end, he threw 46.2 innings at Double-A, striking out 44, walking 27, and holding a solid 3.66 ERA.

He works off a lively mid-90s fastball with an above-average changeup and a curveball that has shown flashes. As is common for relievers, improved command will determine whether Vizcaino ends up at the back of a big-league bullpen.

Vizcaino will likely start 2020 at Double-A, but he’ll be fast-tracked with early success, just like he was this year. Given the need to add him to the 40-man roster soon, the San Francisco Giants will want to get a full evaluation as to whether he fits in their long-term plans.
