Three reasons to believe in the San Francisco Giants

The San Francisco Giants play over the past few weeks has been one of the biggest stories in baseball. Marc Delucchi runs down the biggest reasons to believe.
With a 17-3 record in their last 20 games, the San Francisco Giants have turned around what looked like a lost season.
They are now two games over .500 and just two games back for the second NL wild-card spot, and with back-to-back wins over a contending Chicago Cubs team, they are showing no signs of slowing down.
Still, many fans are cautiously optimistic. After all, this same team was 11 games under .500 and entrenched in the NL West cellar when the calendar flipped to July.
At the very least, they have flipped the script on what was expected to be a busy trade deadline as sellers. While they might not make any splashy outside additions, there’s a good chance they will now hold onto their top veterans for the stretch run.
With a half-full glass, we’ve highlighted three reasons to believe in the San Francisco Giants recent hot streak.
