Day 2 of the 2019 MLB draft is in the books and the San Francisco Giants have added eight more selections to this year’s draft class.

The first day of the draft always gets the hoopla. After all, the draft celebrities like Bryce Harper and the studs like Casey Mize hog all of the coverage, and for good reason. The best prospects tend to make the best players, but there’s a reason there are 40 rounds in the draft.

The San Francisco Giants selected Arizona State OF Hunter Bishop and Louisville 1B Logan Wyatt on the first day of the draft. Click on their names to read up on them.

There’s value to be found in the later rounds, though. Case in point, Brandon Belt, Brandon Crawford, Steven Duggar, and Shaun Anderson were all Day 2 picks. In order for the Giants rebuild to be successful, they’ll need to grab some talent with these picks.
