Top 30 Prospects: Garcia (7), Anderson (8), Williams (9), Howard (24), Johnson (29)

This pitching staff is actually mightily impressive. Anderson was a great get from the Red Sox in the Nuñez trade, and guys like Cyr, Slania, Gage, Black, Johnson, and Williams are no jokes either. Overall, the most well rounded pitching staff of their farm system. Keep an eye on the key starters here, Johnson, Williams, and Anderson. All three will be spending most of the year here. Pay attention to how they grow over the year. You also can’t keep your eyes off Garcia. He seems to be Buster’s heir to the throne, but they’ll take their time with him unless he forces the issue. He could use an injury free year as well.

If there is any player on this squad that’s NOT on the top 30 list that is a “must pay attention” guy, it’s Ronnie Jebavy. Jebavy was about level with Duggar in the eyes of most Giants scouts until last year. He didn’t really take off at the plate like most thought he could. He’s super fast, a great fielder, but just lacks with the bat a bit. This is going to be a big year for him at the plate if he ultimately wants to advance through his career.
