Top Prospects:

With the lack of outfield depth in the minors, Giants fans are quickly learning about Chris Shaw. The horrendous April had the San Francisco Giants trying just about everyone in left field. With their left field options lacking power they decided to try Shaw out in left field. With Chris Shaw being a power threat, the Giants have started to have Shaw play left field in anticipation of him possibly taking over left field at AT&T park in the near future. Left field isn’t new territory for Shaw who played outfield in his college career prior to getting drafted. It seems his ticket to the big leagues could be through left field. Offensively, Shaw is having a great year hitting .304/.397/.504 with 5 HR and 27 RBI. Miguel Gomez is hitting just as well hitting .333/.367/.467

On the pitching side, Andrew Suarez is having a good start to his year. He has a 3.12 ERA in seven starts to the year. He has pitched at least 6 innings in five of the seven starts and that is due to his control. Suarez has a 35/7 K/BB ratio so far on the year which is very good.
