Daniel:  I personally love Corey Dickerson. He was a player I mentioned as a trade candidate during the offseason. However, J.D. Martinez has been really awesome since he came back from injury, and is a heck of a player. The big thing is that I don’t think the Giants are willing, nor do they want to give up a Giant haul for a player they can easily sign “for free” this offseason. They really should hope he gets traded elsewhere, and then sign him in the offseason, especially since the trade will waive the qualifying offer/draft pick compensation. If the Giants are going to trade for anybody, Corey Dickerson might be a better/cheaper option in terms of what they would need to give up. But I would still hold out hope that Mac Williamson is good enough to not make a move, and then sign Martinez in the offseason. That way you don’t part with prospects, or big leaguers.

Jake: I think Corey Dickerson is the best fit for the team because he his left-handed and can leadoff. Both players are very similar and will give you the same type of production, but I think Dickerson is just a better fit. On top of that, Dickerson is younger and under team control for much longer. Of course, that also means that Dickerson might cost you more.
