Prospect Number 2: Tyler Beede

Tyler Beede is equally as good of a prospect as Arroyo, and really you could consider him to be 1-B. Beede has three to four solid pitches and can manage his walk totals. With his K/BB rate, swing and miss ability, and a consistent and non strenuous delivery have him primed to develop into a number two or three starter.

Beede’s ETA could very well be this season if things go really south for the fifth starter’s role, especially if Ty Blach, Matt Cain, and Albert Suarez can’t take control of that spot. With a lot of options as starters, the Giants should be smart and keep him in AAA all season so he can get consistent starts.
