The San Francisco Giants’ season may be over, but there is still plenty of baseball left in 2016. Many Giants fans now are faced with the dilemma of who to root for as the postseason continues. There are five options left, and that will be reduced to four by tomorrow night.

You really could chose any of these five teams remaining, except for the Dodgers. That’s off-limits, and your San Francisco Giants fandom should be in serious doubt if you were to even consider going that route.

As long as your fandom returns to San Francisco next season, there is no issue with you cheering on any four of the five. We’re going to look at the reasons why you should, and why you shouldn’t hop on each of the remaining teams’ bandwagon. Now, this is through the lens of a Giants fan first, and a Bay Area sports fan second. Let’s start with the remaining National League Teams first, then move on to the American League.
