Conclusion

The outfield of the Giants would have had a strong showing had Hunter Pence stayed healthy. His rehabilitation will be an important news item down the stretch. And Denard Span has been a very good value and a calming presence on offense and defense. You can trust him to play to his abilities. Another year of experience at AT&T and we may see Span playing in next year;s game in Miami. And even though he won’t even get any write-in votes, Gregor Blanco has again stepped up to show how valuable he is. The best fourth outfielder in the big leagues, and he needs to be commended.
