SF Giants Team Grades:1/6th Of The Way Into The Season

Offense
The team is third in both runs batted in and walks and strikes out the third-least times in the game. They are giving themselves the greatest opportunities to get on base by making contact. They are hitting .270.
Hunter Pence was just named player of the week after a .400 batting average and eight RBI’s, while walking six times. And Brandon Belt was right there with him hitting .444 over the same span, also driving in eight.
Overall the team has had many different heroes this year which is important. Buster Posey has had some rough stretches, but is still hitting .284. Matt Duffy and Joe Panik both started the season hitting balls right at people , and have begun to see more holes as of late.
The key is that the team is not getting lucky, and are still seeing success. And they are still finding their groove as well.
