San Francisco Giants:All-Time Roster After Moving West-The Lineup

Catcher: Buster Posey
Only five catchers have played five-plus years in addition to Posey. Tom Haller, Dick Dietz, Dave Rader, Marc Hill, Bob Brenly, and Kirt Manwaring are the others that would qualify. Looking specifically at numbers, Posey is far and away the cream of the crop at this position. Haller hit 107 home runs with the Giants, but also hit .248 during his tenure with the team and made the All–Star team twice. Brenly was a fan-favorite who played in his only All-Star game at Candlestick Park. Although he was a good receiver, he hit 90 home runs with the team while hitting .250. Posey has exceeded all expectations after the team drafted him in 2008. A .310 career average and only five home runs shy of Haller, Posey is a 3-time All-Star with an MVP award, a Rookie of the Year award, a batting title, and has three rings in his young career. There really is no question who would be calling pitches on the All-Time San Francisco Giants team.
