San Francisco Giants:All-Time Roster After Moving West-Pitchers
By Gary Oversen

Juan Marichal
The “Dominican Dandy” was dominant in an era where pitching was king. Appearing in nine All-Star games and becoming a Hall of Famer in 1983, Marichal had 283 wins and a SF Giants career 2.84 ERA. He struck out 2281 and had 52 shutouts. His performance against the Milwaukee Braves in 1963 is one of legends. Matching up against another Hall of Fame pitcher, Warren Spahn, Marichal threw a 16-inning complete game against the Braves and getting the win while striking out 10. He had 244 career complete games, including 30 in 1968. To put that into perspective, the Giants as a team had seven last year. I know it’s a different era, but that is an amazing stat.
