RBI Leader: Buster Posey

Normally, a player who leads the team in home runs will also have a good chance at the RBI title as well. But on the San Francisco Giants, Belt will not have as many opportunities since Posey will be cleaning up the base paths ahead of him. Posey’s up-the-middle approach at the plate, and ability to get the bat on the ball will keep the pitchers’ focus off the runners. his will lead to more stolen bases ahead of him, allowing for even more RBI opportunities. He also led the team last year in this category (95) and with Span now leading off, and Angel Pagan hitting ninth, it should only increase his totals. My prediction: 111 RBI’s, good for fifth in the league and 20 ahead of Belt and 35 ahead of Crawford.
