Tim Hudson, Jeremy Affeldt, and Tim Linecum

As for the players who didn’t defect, at least yet. Tim Hudson gave the baseball world a great career and retired after the 2015 season. He will always be remembered for his contribution in 2014 to a World Series title.

Affeldt was a great arm coming out of the bullpen for the Giants. His retirement from the team has led to a spot as a community ambassador as well as a place behind the mic for CSN Bay Area.

And finally there is The Freak. As most fans are aware, Lincecum has been trying to battle back from hip surgery and was supposed to have a showcase back in February. At the time, a lot of fans were willing to sign him whether the showcase went well or not. But February and March have gone by without much news. There is a report by Rotoworld that he is throwing 90 MPH from flat ground, but nothing is concrete news. Either way, the Giants will probably send someone to view him once he feels good enough to show what he’s got. But don’t look for a reunion unless he is willing to sort things out in Sacramento first. Which isn’t a likely scenario.
