Another late season addition last year, Leake didn’t give the Giants everything they hoped for, but still managed to leave a good impression as a fierce competitor. His defection was not as much of an issue once the Giants signed Johnny Cueto and Jeff Samardzija. He is currently slotted in as the number 4 starter with the St. Louis Cardinals, and has a 2.81 ERA in 4 games this spring. He should benefit from not being lower on the totem pole, and could be one of the best number 4’s in the game.
