Having benefited from the Adam LaRoche mess that the Chicago White Sox are having to deal with, Ishikawa will most likely be the back up first baseman and left-handed bat off the bench. He is currently battling Jerry Sands for the reserve role, and is hitting .283 in 46 trips to the plate.
