SF Giants: Bubble Players Most Likely To Make The Roster

The Giants may have found their new backup catcher. After struggling with Hector Sanchez for a while, and with highly ranked prospect Andrew Susac not playing well, Trevor Brown could be the solution. He got some time at the end of last season, playing 13 games hitting .231/.279/.308 with 5 RBI and 3 doubles. He has shown the ability to have pretty good doubles power, having hit 2 so far this spring as well. In 16 games, he has hit .355/.432/.419 with 2 doubles and 9 RBI.
Obviously, Brown would not be playing everyday, as the Giants have superstar Buster Posey behind the plate. As of right now, though, he is probably in the lead for the backup catcher job. He would probably play the same role as Susac and Sanchez before him, catching a few games here and there, but he has shown that he might be a better hitter than both of them.
