Brett Butler

Brett Butler was widely regarded as one of the best bunters in the game, and when he singed with the Giants after the 1987 season, he became one of the best lead off hitters in baseball. Is his three years with the Giants, Butler hit .293/.381/.378, with 13 homers, 123 RBI’s and 125 stolen bags. He also accumulated a 13.6 WAR in his 3 seasons as a Giant, along with being an above average center fielder.

Butler was a pivotal part of the NL Pennant winning 1989 Giants team. This team included Kevin Mitchell, Will Clark, and Matt Williams. Butler was the table setter for that team, along with being one of the best lead off hitters in Giants history.
