The year that AT&T Park was born led to a 97 win regular season, even after a rough start against the Los Angeles Dodgers. A solid lineup with Barry Bonds, Jeff Kent, Ellis Burks and J.T. Snow also had Robb Nen to close out games, and a 17-11 Livan Hernandez.

The team won only one postseason game against the New York Mets in the NLDS, so a total of 98 wins for the year puts them in this slot.
