San Francisco Giants:Top 10 SF Giant Playoff Teams Part 2

3. 2014 Giants
The last three teams to make the playoffs have happened to also win the World Series, something that hadn’t been done in the city of San Francisco.
It is difficult to pick out what team was the best, but with 88 wins in the regular season, and then 12 more in the postseason, the 100 wins by the team put them at third best.
Those 12 wins, the way they had to go on the road and battle every series was epic.
The team featured a very balanced lineup, with Buster Posey’s 22 home runs leading the team. But the main source of stability came from their pitching staff, namely Madison Bumgarner.
Without Bumgarner’s heroics in the World Series, the Giants would be looking at a season similar to 1962 and 2002. Someone just happened to step up this time.
