Tim Lincecum

This is probably the least likely outcome of any of these other pitchers, at least at the moment. Lincecum, who was rumored to be scheduling a showcase for teams in either January or February, will have an uphill battle in order to secure a spot on the Giants 25-man roster.

He may look to go to a team where there is a more clear path to making the team. Not to say that he is necessarily done, and the Giants shouldn’t keep their eye on him. But the potential for a contract that is somewhat inflated due to his tenure with the team is still a worry.

Lincecum will always be a San Francisco Giant, but the chances of him remaining in orange and black are pretty slim. Unless he is signed by the Baltimore Orioles.
