Pat Sheridan

Pat Sheridan was acquired in the trade with the Detroit Tigers for Tracy Jones, and also wore the number 25.(After which Rick Leach and Mike “Tiny” Felder would each wear it before Barry Bonds.)

Sheridan was just another band-aid trying to close the wound in right field. Luckily Candy Maldonado would seize the position for a couple of years, before another couple of years of instability.

Sheridan hit .205 through the rest of the 1989 season, and hit .154 in the NLCS against the Chicago Cubs. He only saw two plate appearances in the World Series, going 0-2 against the Oakland A’s.

Probably should have kept Mike Aldrete in the first place.
