San Francisco Giants:One Hit Blunders (Part One)
By Gary Oversen

Jose Guillen
While his teammates (shown above) were celebrating a World Series championship in 2010, Jose Guillen was not anywhere to be seen.
He was traded to the Giant for minor league pitcher Kevin Pucetas. Not much to give up, but the team was looking for a power bat and someone to play right field.
What they got in 42 games was 4 home runs, a .266 average and 2 errors in the outfield. WHat they also got was a player being investigated by the MLB for having banned substances shipped to him.
The team was told to keep him off of the postseason roster. And it wasn’t the first time his name was involved in performance-enhancing drugs. But it would be the last, as he never played another inning in the big leagues.
