Another feel good story is Tim Hudson. His desire to win a championship brought him back to the bay area, and his teammates desire to get him one, was a major theme in 2014. Forget his short tenure with the club, he was an instant Giant. And his competitive fire shined brightly while with the club.
Hudson was always the pitcher in the rotation that you wanted to miss when his team came to town. And when he was with the Giants, his ability to gut through innings when they looked like they were about to go a different direction was amazing.
His influence will live on in the organization through the younger pitchers he inspired. A pitcher at the end of his career couldn’t be any better for a team then a Tim Hudson.
You were a good Giant.
