If we find any of these draft picks in the big leagues, it is for sure that their organizations expedited the process for one reason–they are really, really good! Sure enough, there are only a handful of draftees from this 2013 to play in the bigs so far.
For the first round, San Francisco decided upon one of their current top prospects in shortstop Christian Arroyo. Because it is too early to decided if they missed out on any stars, here are the notable picks from the draft:
RHP Mark Appel (1st Round–1st)
3B Kris Bryant (1st Round–2nd)
*RHP Phil Bickford (1st Round–10th)
LHP Marco Gonzales (1st Round–19th)
RHP Chi Chi Gonzalez (1st Round–23rd)
RHP Kyle Crockett (4th Round–111th)
