RHP Jered Weaver #36

The long-time Anaheim Angel and three-time All Star is set to hit free agency after next season. Although Weaver has seen his fastball velocity soar downward from low-90s to mid to high-80s, his numbers have not gone with it.

  • Although this season Weaver struggled a bit with his location, in 2014 he was the MLB wins leader with 18 with a 3.59 ERA and 1.209 WHIP. Weaver has been one of the most durable arms in the game as he has pitched 25 or more starts in eight of his 10 seasons in the MLB.

Weaver is a good clubhouse guy who would like to be on a contending team as his days are numbered. The Giants seem like a perfect fit and Weaver clearly still has plenty of innings left in him.
