2. Sign one or two role players

Throughout the 2014 season, the Giants were in search for a threat off the bench, but as injuries continued to add on, it was hard enough just finding nine players to play the field. With San Francisco unlikely to re-sign Marlon Byrd, it is possible that names like Juan Uribe and Delmon Young may be discussed.

San Francisco needs to get deeper on the bench as they are very thin with only Gregor Blanco and Kelby Tomlinson. Don’t be surprised to see a speedy, defensive-minded outfielder sign with San Francisco as a backup plan for the unknown health of Pagan–perhaps, Rajai Davis or Will Venable. This is a must need for the Giants.
