Willie Mays Award (Best Overall Hitter)

#28 Buster Posey C

Although guys like Matt Duffy and Brandon Crawford gave him a run for his money at times, unarguably Posey was the Giants most consistent and best overall hitter this year–he is the franchise-player for a reason. Of course, this was no surprise season for the former 2012 NL MVP, as this is what Giants fans have come to expect.

In his 150 games played this year, Posey ranked 7th in batting average, 9th in on-base-percentage, and 17th in WAR in all of Major League Baseball. Without a doubt, Posey was the overall best hitting catcher in the league this season, and fans should expect to see him win the 2015 Silver Slugger Award, honoring the best hitter at each position, for the third time in his 7-year career.
