2. Trade for Cameron Maybin of the Atlanta Braves
Maybin seemed to find himself a bit since being traded to Atlanta prior to the start of the 2015 season. Nevertheless, Maybin will be a free agent after next season and will be one of the top outfielders on the market.
The former 1st Round draft pick has struggled after getting off to a hot start as he is slashing .263/.325/.371, while stroking 10 home runs and driving in 53 RBIs. The Braves are a last-place team who are waiting for their new ballpark to open in 2017 to really make their move in the NL East.
As their new ballpark is on the horizon, the Braves may try and sign a big time free agent outfielder to take the place of Maybin in order to stir up the excitement for the team. Maybin’s contract status and familiarity with the NL West may sway him over to San Francisco.
