Final series: Giants vs. Padres (3 games) | Dodgers vs. Rockies (3 games)
In a year full of streaks (both good and bad), the Giants would need to maintain their longest hot streak of the season to complete this pennant chase. Their home dominance over the Padres would have to continue, and the Dodgers would also have to drop their fifth-straight series—including a loss in a Kershaw or Greinke start—to bring the doom and gloom full circle.
Even though they’re a divisional foe, I’ve always kind of liked the Rockies…I knew I had a good reason.
Giants vs. Padres: 3-0 (89-73) | Dodgers vs. Rockies: 1-2 (89-73)
NL West: Tied
