With the Giants almost assuredly missing out on the postseason, fans have gradually been adjusting their dials to the upcoming offseason. 2016 MLB free agency is right around the corner, and with over $60 million to burn without going into the tax, you better believe the team’s front office is gearing up for another run at even-year glory.
There are no shortage of talented players and pitchers on the market this winter, but only a couple positions the Giants will be directing most of their budget toward: starting pitchers and outfielders. The bullpen and bench can (and likely will) add a new toy apiece, but rest assured that these are the two needs San Francisco will address.
