San Francisco Giants September call-ups: Players that could have been, and might still be, summoned
By Matthew Connolly

Aug 26, 2014; Philadelphia, PA, USA; Washington Nationals left fielder Kevin Frandsen (19) hits an RBI single during the seventh inning of a game against the Philadelphia Phillies at Citizens Bank Park. The Phillies defeated the Nationals 4-3. Mandatory Credit: Bill Streicher-USA TODAY Sports
UTIL: Kevin Frandsen (AAA)
Frandsen hasn’t done a whole lot in the minors this year (.274/.334/.345 slash line), but he can play anywhere in the infield and has over 500 big-league games under his belt—many of which came with the Giants. It’s hard to say who’s more valuable between him and Nick Noonan, but I’d lean toward Frandsen given his experience and ability to play the outfield (and Bay Area roots, but I’m biased).
