Honorable mention: Yusmeiro Petit      

I know, I know…Petit projects much better as a reliever and is invaluable as the Giants’ longman, but he deserves to have his name thrown in the hat given how well he’s thrown the ball in the second half (2.08 ERA, 25-to-3 K-to-BB ratio).

If the Giants have a change of heart with Vogelsong, in particular—relegating him to the bullpen for good—I, for one, wouldn’t be opposed to giving Petit a shot.
