Ever since it was announced that Dexter Fowler had cleared waivers, there has been speculation of Fowler returning to the West to play for the Giants. Fowler is part of a very crowded Chicago Cubs outfield with Jorge Soler, Kyle Schwarber, and a mixture of others.
Fowler is hitting .256 with 17 stolen bases, and he was just recently placed back into the leadoff role. Fowler has cleared waivers and is able to be traded to whomever wants to acquire the speedy center fielder.
Fowler signed a contract with the Cubs in the past offseason for one year, $9.5 million.
