Although he wasn’t technically a midseason acquisition, Pat Burrell signed a minor league contract with San Francisco before the 2010 season and was sent down to Triple-A before being called back up in June of that year. Pat the Bat gave the Giants a power hitter off the bench and even hit three home runs in one game in the NLDS against the Atlanta Braves.
