The “never gonna happen” group

Michael Bourn (Indians)

Not sure how an aging center fielder clearly past his prime (i.e. Angel Pagan with a much lower average) even got a mention. This rumor is so four years ago.

Dan Haren (Marlins)

Haren’s smoke-and-mirrors act has held up pretty well this season (7-6, 3.51 ERA, 4.54 FIP), but another aging arm is the last thing the Giants rotation needs.

Ben Revere (Phillies)

Revere can get on base and swipe a bag—kind of like a young Bourn—but he’s more suited for the corners on defense and more or less replicates Gregor Blanco’s skill set.
