It’s been a rough week-plus for the San Francisco Giants—losers of eight of their last nine—but the team’s flurry of transactions has come as a welcome distraction.
In the last seven days alone, the G-Men have inked 15 international prospects —including one kid whose name might trump his talent—and are reportedly a frontrunner for the top dog on the market.
Meanwhile, the Reverend Pence has made a surprise early return, but a new bullpen weapon has arguably been the more impactful call-up.
Sadly, a pair of sentimental favorites—including postseason hero Travis Ishikawa—have gone the other way, getting bumped off the 40-man roster.
