Jackson led off Andrew Baggarly’s rundown of potential trade targets for the Giants, and it’s not hard to see why. Though not as proficient defensively and or on the base paths as Parra and Maybin, respectively, Jackson is quality in both areas and is in the last year of a reasonable contract ($7.7 million).
With that said, Jackson has struggled at the plate since coming to Seattle (.255/.297./.355 this season) and his 1:1 to SB:CS ratio suggests that his agility is going south.
Much like with Maybin, I think it would take the Giants giving up on Pagan for this trade to be seriously discussed.
