From one former NL West outfielder to another, let’s shift gears to Cameron Maybin, another guy Olney tied to the defending champs (albeit with a grain of salt).

What’s this? Ken Rosenthal’s tweeting about this too? Ah, with another grain of salt.

As you can probably infer, this deal isn’t too likely to happen unless Pagan’s wheels fall off leading up to the deadline.

Maybin’s a nice, young talent who appears to be putting it all together in his first year for the Braves, but he’s a starting center fielder by trade and is locked in on a three-year deal with a team still in contention.

If the Braves fall out of the race, though? Maybin could be a guy San Francisco considers as Pagan’s eventual replacement.
