Nori Aoki
Update: Wednesday, June 24
Bad news for the Giants: The contusion was actually a broken bone, and Aoki will be out for several weeks.
Update: Tuesday, June 23
Aoki was penciled into tonight’s lineup card, but Bruce Bochy ultimately decided to err on the side of caution:
Nori Aoki has been scratched from tonight's lineup (lower leg contusion).

Though he couldn’t get out of the way of a pitch from Dodgers starter Carlos Frias Saturday in Chavez Ravine, the Giants’ leadoff man certainly dodged a bullet in the aftermath.
What initially looked like it could be a broken bone around the foot/ankle area ended up being nothing more than a bone contusion—a fancy term for a really bad bruise. And lucky for San Francisco, a guy like Aoki isn’t about to let a bruise stop him from seeing the field.
Nori Aoki is still pretty sore, is getting treatment so he may be ready to pinch-hit tonight. Bochy hopes he can start Tuesday.
