Jun 1, 2015; San Francisco, CA, USA; San Francisco Giants left fielder Nori Aoki (23, left) celebrates with right fielder Hunter Pence (8) after both scored on a two-RBI double by first baseman Brandon Belt (9, not pictured) during the first inning against the Pittsburgh Pirates at AT&T Park. Giants fans held their collective breath when Nori Aoki got beaned on the foot—and subsequently hit the deck—Saturday against the Dodgers, but his half-jog, half-limp around the bases led many to believe the injury wasn’t too serious.

Unfortunately, that was not—and is not—the case. The same can be said for fellow outfielder Hunter Pence, who won’t be seeing field for quite sometime. Jake Peavy and Matt Cain, however, should be on the mound for San Francisco sooner rather than later.
