Pablo Sandoval Instragrams his way to benching
I know that’s a confusing title. Let me put it like this: There are times when nature calls and you have to answer it—even if you’re a pro athlete in the middle of a game. Usually, it’s a get-in, get-out type of deal, but in Sandoval’s case, it’s a sacred time for liking pictures of attractive women on social media (via the Boston Globe’s Nick Cafardo).
Nothing like spitting game on the can, right?

In my opinion, if Pablo can “multi-task” and get back out on the field with time to spare, then more power to him. Unfortunately, the MLB doesn’t allow in-game cellphone use for obvious reasons, so a one-game ban was issued.
For what it’s worth, Cafardo’s article had a quote from Giants’ GM Bobby Evans citing no illegal tweeting/instagramming in Pablo’s past. Nothing regarding his other problems (weight/attitude/right-handed hitting etc.) were mentioned, of course.
Keep doing you, Panda.
