As the workweek gets into swing for most of us, the Giants also have plenty of work to do as they hit the road to Houston and Cincinnati looking to gain ground on the NL West-leading Dodgers.

The month of May has yielded a nice turnaround for the G-Men, but they’ve still dropped three of their last five, keeping the rumor mill churning as we approach the season’s quarter mark. At the same time, there have been plenty of recent developments on the injury front, as well as some major news on former Giants greats.

Before we get ahead of ourselves, though, let’s turn our attention to the hot stove.
