San Francisco Giants World Series Parade set for Halloween day

By Melissa Felkins

It will be a Halloween to remember in San Francisco. Not that every Halloween isn’t, but this one will be a little more special. The city of San Francisco has announced that there will be a World Series Victory Parade for the San Francisco Giants on Friday, October 31 at Noon. It’ll go down Market Street and end at the Civic Center Plaza – rain or shine.

Oh, and it’s supposed to rain.

Here’s the statement that San Francisco Mayor Ed Lee made after the Giants victory over the Kansas City Royals last night in Game 7 of the World Series (via KRON4.com):

"“The San Francisco skyline is awash in Orange. I congratulate our World Champion San Francisco Giants after another spectacular World Series victory. For the third time in just five years, this world-class organization brought our City together as only our hometown heroes can.San Francisco waits with giant anticipation for the return of our hometown team so we can celebrate as one City with a parade down Market Street to welcome them home.”"
